In a ‘former life’ I was a journalist, working for international magazines and even freelancing for the likes of The Independent.

(The lowercase ‘s’ isn’t a typo.)
As Features Editor of shots magazine and website (which is often described as 'the Bible for the creative advertising industry'), I got to interview the world’s most respected ad people.
It was fascinating to see how their minds, creative processes and
businesses worked.
businesses worked.
That was when I fell in love with copywriting.

“You’ll never have a job as good as
this again.”
this again.”
That’s what my boss said when I was Travel Editor of GolfPunk. Based in Brighton, GolfPunk was a bold new magazine that covered lifestyle, fashion and travel as much as the sport itself.
In four exciting years, I travelled the world, had incredible experiences (think bungee jumping in Vancouver, swimming with giant turtles in Barbados, paragliding in Austria... I could go on) and interviewed amazing people – including plenty of celebrities.
Was my boss right? It was definitely one of the best jobs I’ve had, but I’m proud to say I’ve worked in several other roles that I loved just as much.
The Independent
I’ve freelanced for various publications during my career, such as The Independent and several in-flight magazines for airlines including Virgin Atlantic, easyJet and Monarch.
This piece for The Independent was one of many that made my mum extra proud.

Monarch
I loved exploring Cuba and writing this story for Monarch's in-flight magazine.
GolfPunk
I went all around the world while working as a travel writer. Canada was one of my favourite places and yes, that's me trying not to hit two bears with a golf shot.
